Emily Montefusco graduated from Boston University with a masters in Speech-Language Pathology. In addition to her New York State license, she holds a Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is a licensed Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Prior to joining Manhattan Star Academy, Emily worked as a Speech Pathologist for 8 years, providing evaluations and intervention for early intervention, preschool and school aged children in New York City. She is trained in PROMPT, Interactive Metronome, PECS, Lori Overland’s Feeding Approach, Floortime and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Emily is passionate about engaging children and facilitating communication skills through technology.
